As most are aware, tomorrow is the Thanksgiving holiday here in the U.S. It’s a time to reflect and give thanks for all the good things in our lives. I remember many years in which I didn’t think I had much to be thankful for, but I really did. I’ve always had the love and support of a family, an abundance of friends, my health, and my mental well-being (though some would say that’s debatable :D ).
At this point in my life, I think I’m self-aware enough to realize that I have more than ever to be thankful for. On top of what I mentioned above, I have a loving wife and her extended (as crazy, in a good way, as they are) family, a pretty great job, and more direction in life than ever before when it comes to things like writing.
Are things perfect? Of course not and we’ve had a few trials and disappointments this year, but that still doesn’t mean I’m not grateful for what I have.
With all that said, I just wanted to drop a little note to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving. I hope it’s filled with joy, lots of good food, and many fond memories.
Take care and until next time—
I went to the USA with my dad when I was 15. It was around Thanks giving. I asked my aunt what was thanks being given for. She said "Breaking away from you Brits!" Anyway, very nice post, many of us do indeed have much to be thankful for.
Have a great holiday!
