Sounds like a positive that came from COVID :-) My husband has worked from home for years and loves it. He was SO annoyed when we were all stuck at home with him.

To be honest, we weren't really impacted by COVID at all. I got to work from home, neither my wife or I lost our jobs. and we didn't even catch it until just a few months ago (we both had mild cases) I know others weren't so lucky and I'm grateful that we were blessed.

Yes! That's how I feel when my wife takes a vacation day. She messes up the whole dynamic :)

23 March 2020. The day England went into lockdown - and everything changed. My wife and I (both teachers) shared the study, my daughter was in her room and my son was in the kitchen. Hybrid doesn't even cover it. Things have - obviously - improved, but remnants of those months remain in the psyche like bits of food in the teeth ....

I can imagine, especially being in the teaching profession. Good for some, not so good for others. Hopefully, it wasn't too bad.

Hey Mark. I've been working from home since mid March 2020. It was a weird transition what with the uncertainty of the COVID-19 situation but I've become quite comfortable with it. My department at work formally switched to a hybrid work environment but there's been no formal pressure for me to return, partially because I occasionally have to work early mornings/late evenings due to time zone differences. However, I want to start back to being in the office at least 1 day/week, so I'll be interested to see how that goes.

That's about when I started working from home, as well. I think a lot of companies are starting to look more at telecommuting as a viable alternative to coming into the office. After two years, it will be pretty interesting to see how things go with your return to the office, even if it's just for a day. Let me know how it goes if you get a chance. Thanks for the comment!

Wow, really interesting, Mark!

Family members who used to commute daily to London for work are finding they are much, much more productive working from home, and for one couple this has resulted in a move to the country and a quieter, more enjoyable pace of life in their downtime.

Thanks, Rebecca! :)

Yes, it sounds like more and more people are getting a 'best of both worlds' result by working from home. Plus, I think it really helps with the "work/life balance" that many bigger companies are preaching these days.
