I’m glad you and your loved ones are safe and well. As far as writing and other things; sometimes we just need mental health days (brain breaks). Although you weren’t super imposes by the hurricane it is still very stressful mentally and emotionally. Thanks for the referrals! I guess I’m sappy because I like Hallmark shows. Speaking of which- Bruce Campbell will be in one on Thanksgiving Day! (PS- I like the old worn journal better πŸ˜‰) Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year πŸŽ†πŸŽŠπŸŽˆ

Great to hear what's been going on (yes, I'm a month late replying - sorry!) - glad you and yours are OK. Great journals, by the way - love a leather one! Though I tend to use a Luechturmm A5 bullet one ...

Glad to see you came out of the hurricane again unscathed. For the second time, we didn't lose power. There were some branches down in the area. The townhomes across the street had some large branches come down over the wall and onto the bike path. The beaches fared a lot worse than us. Melbourne Beach and Satellite Beach beaches were hit hard along with a bunch of other places around Brevard County.

Great post, Mark! Glad you escaped harm from Hurricane Fiona. Lovely to see your notebook-in-waiting - as you know I use a Traveler's Company notebook as my everyday scrawler, but in the passport size.

I love a Christmas film! We watched the hilarious 'People we hate at the wedding' on Netflix last night - not Christmas-related, but not all that different to many Christmas films in that it involved people with issues getting together at an event, and followed the inevitable resulting chaos. I wondered why the script contained so much specifically-US English vernacular in the scenes involving only British characters in the scenes set in Britain, and 'rehearsal dinner' isn't even a thing over here, but I suppose I'm just being picky! I recommend it if you fancy a giggle. (Adult themes and language, don't watch with small people.)

Believe it or not I have not watched a single episode of Doc Martin, but maybe I will now. I love the Cornwall scenery, and b used too watch a detective series set in Cornwall, called Wycliffe. Getting there from London takes about five hours, which is why we haven't been for years. Must go back! If you ever go there yourself, try a real Cornish pasty: you won't need to eat for a week.

Glad you're all ok post-hurricane. Good idea to stay somewhere safe r.

I think it's fine to have breaks from writing. We have to do what's right for the time, in my view.

Hope the book sales are going well.

So great to hear what’s going on in your world, Mark. I read a little of the T.E.M.P. Agency and hoping to get back into it during the holidays. We’ll have to check out the Hallmark series. I’m a sucker for those feel-good flicks!
